I grew up in a house full of fabrics, beads, books, paint and projects. Diagnosed with ADHD at a very young age, my mother knew how to channel my boundless energy by keeping my hands and mind occupied. She also showed me the path to entrepreneurship by creating a publishing house for patchwork books and magazines, entirely on her own.
Initially a lawyer specializing in humanitarian law, I've always been driven by a desire to help others and contribute to building a fairer and better world. However, the extremely difficult situations I was working on in my NGO were eroding my natural optimism and my hope of making a difference. So, I refocused on my passions for crafts and cooking, endless sources of joy and inspiration for me, to find joy again.
I then had the fortune of meeting my incredible husband and having a wonderful little boy. However, postpartum depression struck, and I struggled for two years to find myself again. Crafts were a lifeline in this emotional storm and allowed me to reconnect my inner child, my love for life and find peace.
It is from this whole life journey that ParaNID was born because it had become clear to me that creating a safe space for women so that they could recharge, free themselves and create was my destiny.
